Editor's Note

This publication owes a substantial debt to the alumni and faculty of the now-defunct Department of Comparative Literature, under whose auspices the equally-defunct journal FORTY-THREE NORTH was published very tastefully. That publication--an interdisciplinary journal made to “showcase the best critical writing of Hamilton students in the Humanities and the Arts”--is the spiritual and material predecessor to SUTURE, which we hope might fill the clever, very neat vacuum that its dissolution left behind.
