Our editorial board is composed of Hamilton College undergraduate students. We meet regularly each semester to vote on and peer review submissions to Suture.
Editors-in-Chief

Katie is a senior from New York majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in Classics and Italian Studies. In Spring 2025, she studied abroad in Florence, Italy. She enjoys skiing with family and friends, and her favorite genres to read are fantasy and mystery.

Julia is a sophomore from Maryland double majoring in Literature and Art History. She has been on Suture's editorial board since Fall 2024 and Editor-in-Chief since Spring 2025. Outside of Suture, Julia works as an editor for a nonprofit organization and enjoys reading classics, crocheting, and writing letters to friends from home.

Katherine Adee '27
Katherine is a junior from Far Hills, New Jersey majoring in Literature and looking to minor in Economics. She enjoys jigsaw puzzles or crosswords, painting goofy cartoons on rocks, and reading. Currently, she has committed herself to experiencing (or enduring) Herman Melville’s Moby Dick. She has been editing for Suture since Spring 2025.

Deniz Beskok '28
Deniz is a sophomore majoring in World Politics and planning to minor in Philosophy and Economics. She participates in mock trial on campus and writes for the Spectator. In her free time she enjoys watching films, reading, and sailing in the summer.

Luke Davis '28
Luke is a sophomore from Englewood, New Jersey planning to major in World Politics. He is passionate about writing of every kind, and is a member of Red Weather’s Prose board in addition to editing Suture. On campus, you might see him rowing with Hamilton Crew on the Erie Canal, leading Outing Club trips, or reading the New Yorker instead of doing homework. He thinks you should read the poem Like You by Roque Dalton and listen to the album "Heavy Metal" by Cameron Winter.

Sami Flaherty '27
Sami is a junior from Wilmington, Delaware concentrating in Philosophy and minoring in Linguistics and French. She joined Suture’s editorial board in the Spring of 2024 and was previously published in their Fall 2024 issue. Beyond Suture, she engages her passions for writing and thinking as a Writing Center tutor and Philosophy TA. When not working, she can be found competing on the Mock Trial team, performing with the Dance Department, dabbling in various student dance clubs, and walking to Utica Coffee.

Grace Fogarty '28
Grace is a second-year from Kensington, MD planning to major in Psychology and minor in Religious Studies. Grace is a member of RedWeather's poetry board and Suture's E-Board. On campus, you can find Grace exploring the Glens or in the Chapel. A huge music lover, Grace has a special soft spot for folk and indie-rock, and spends hours staring at the Spotify app reading the time-synced lyrics as she listens to music.

Lydia Hammill '29
Lydia is a freshman from Flemington, New Jersey. She is planning on majoring in history with a potential minor in music or Spanish. She loves reading and playing violin. In her free time at Hamilton, she likes walks in the glen and catching up with friends over coffee. She became an e-board member in the fall of 2025.

Jessica Lawlor '28
Jessica is a sophomore from Woodstock, GA planning to double major in Anthropology and English Literature. She is a member of Suture’s editorial board as of Fall 2025. Outside of Suture, she enjoys reading and can always be found listening to music.

Olivia is a junior from Oneida, New York double majoring in History and Art History. She has been an editor for Suture since Fall 2025, and especially enjoys reading obscure history papers and artistic analyses. Beyond Suture, she enjoys her job at the Wellin Museum and is currently learning to speak French and German.

Leah is a sophomore from Wilbraham, Massachusetts. She is planning on majoring in Art and Creative Writing with a minor in Digital Arts. She enjoys theatre and playwriting, as well as video production, editing, music, animation, and graphic design. In her free time at Hamilton, she likes going to the gym, studying in KTSA, or going on late night walks around campus while listening to indie-rock, folk, or a musical soundtrack. She became an E-Board member in the Spring of 2025.
